Ace of Hearts is a Monte Carlo Casino night, this year hosted on the historic Berkeley Ship at the San Diego Maritime Museum on May 16th from 6:00pm-9:00pm. We play poker, craps, blackjack and more... and all for a worthy cause.

This year, our profits from the event will benefit the locally based Hydrologic Research Center (HRC) which is a nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness about its global program to reduce deaths, disease, and other negative social and economic impacts caused by flash flooding.

Music for this year's Ace of Hearts, Afloat event will be provided by DJ Johnny Tran. Johnny Tran is a DJ, producer, keyboardist, and writer. He is the resident DJ for The Dope Show, a collective of local-San Diego artists and musicians of various genres. Johnny Tran is the creative director and resident DJ for two weekly art and music events: Basic Tuesdays at Bar Basic and Form & Funktion at Johnny Vs on Wednesdays. He is also the resident DJ for Sight & Sound, a monthly arts event at Planet Rooth in North Park. As if that was not enough, he also promotes Red, a weekly jazz night at Azuki Sushi on Mondays as well as Poetry Panic at Pannikin in LaJolla.
