A little more about Andrea:

Name: Andrea Danielle Seay

Hometown: Opp, Alabama but never again, now it’s San Diego!

Occupation: Self-employed—photography and childcare

How Long a Rotaract Member: San Diego since April 2005, was a member at the University of Alabama 2001-2004

Favorite Rotaract Event and Why: I absolutely loved traveling up to the regional Rotaract Conference in L.A. a couple of years ago. I was able to car-pool and room with people that I don’t normally get to spend as much time together. My favorite yearly fundraiser event is Casino Night. It’s a fun time to socialize, but also collaborate with members and the community for a new cause each year. One can learn a lot about teamwork, organization, fundraising and publicity. We are also educated on a new aspect in the community that needs our support.

Recreational Activities: open water swimming, photographing San Diego, volunteer with U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary (we get to go on boat rides and use radios!)

My San Diego "Picks"(Where you go in San Diego – could be a restaurant, beach, club, etc.): La Jolla Cove and Shores! The best mocha place in P.B. by Crystal Pier and any of the Living Room coffee houses

Describe Your Perfect San Diego Weekend: Friday: Swim La Jolla Cove after work and warm up with some food and coffee at the LivingRoom
Sat: sleep in, meet up with friends to hike any of the local canyons in the city or Mission Gorge with picnic, go out downtown, University Heights/Hillcrest/Balboa area or to beach for a nice dinner and cheap comedy or music show
Sun: wake up early to swim La Jolla Cove again to see the fish, invite friends to take picnic to watch free concerts in the summer-time on the grass, go to Wave-House to finish off weekend with drinks, live music, and our infamous sunset!
